PhD Course: Foundations Of Entrepreneurship (5 ECTS)
At Copenhagen Business School (CBS), we will be holding a PhD course entitled Foundations of Entrepreneurship from 9-12 March 2026, followed by a final workshop (available both in-person and online) on 12 April 2026. This is one of the specialised courses offered to doctoral students at the Department of Strategy & Innovation at CBS, but is also open to external PhD students. Foundations of Entrepreneurship – 5 ECTS | CBS PhD School
The aim of the course is to develop greater familiarity with and provide an in-depth understanding of the key themes and empirical research methods in entrepreneurship. The majority of the course will focus on how to conduct empirical research in the domain of entrepreneurship, broadly defined. The course also aims to build capabilities in critically discussing and formulating research questions and projects in entrepreneurship. Students will become acquainted with various methodological approaches employed in the field and learn to analytically review and evaluate academic articles from a diverse body of literature relevant to entrepreneurship research.
